Job SummaryThe Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees, tenants, contractors, and visitors across company properties. The role oversees safety compliance in construction projects, building operations, and property management activities by implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, and enforcing regulatory standards.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor health and safety policies across residential, commercial, and mixed-use propertiesConduct routine safety inspections of buildings, common areas, and construction/fit-out sitesEnsure compliance with local safety regulations, building codes, and company standardsIdentify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actionsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare reportsFacilitate safety orientations for employees, contractors, and tenantsMonitor contractor compliance with safety requirements and permitsOversee fire safety programs, drills, and emergency response readinessMaintain safety records, incident logs, and compliance documentationCoordinate with property managers, engineers, and external regulatory bodiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or related fieldCertified Safety Officer (BOSH/COSH or equivalent) preferredAt least 2–4 years experience in safety, preferably in real estate, construction, or facilitiesKnowledge of local building codes, fire safety standards, and OSH regulationsStrong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
