We partner with our clients to strengthen safety, compliance, and operational excellence—because protecting people, systems, and communities is at the core of everything we do.Position SummaryThe Safety Officer is responsible for supporting and enhancing safety programs for Vantage Point Solutions and its clients. This role works closely with internal teams and client leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct training, and mitigate workplace risks. The ideal candidate is a proactive safety professional who is comfortable working in the field, building relationships, and translating safety standards into practical, real-world solutions.Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and proceduresConduct safety audits, job site inspections, and risk assessments for internal operations and client sitesIdentify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actionsAssist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and documentationProvide safety training, toolbox talks, and educational materials to employees and clientsEnsure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulationsMaintain safety records, reports, and metrics; assist with regulatory reporting as neededCollaborate with project managers, field staff, and client leadership to reinforce a culture of safetyServe as a safety resource for questions, guidance, and best practicesRequired Qualifications:Associate or bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in a safety-related role (utilities, construction, telecom, or industrial environments preferred)Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry safety standardsStrong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to client sites as neededValid driver’s licensePreferred Qualifications:Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CSP, ASP, CHST, or equivalentExperience supporting electric utilities, cooperatives, or broadband/telecom operationsTraining or facilitation experienceFamiliarity with safety management systems and incident tracking toolsCompensation and Benefits:This position offers competitive pay and an attractive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401(k), and more.About Vantage Point SolutionsVantage Point Solutions was founded in 2002 by a team who believed in putting people – both employees and clients – first.
