Our client is a leading food and beverage manufacturing company seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to partner with plant leadership in promoting a proactive safety culture while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and eliminating hazards before incidents occur, making a direct impact on workplace safety and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with operations teams to review work practices and recommend improvements to reduce risk
  • Assist in reviewing, revising, and implementing safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
  • Develop and deliver monthly safety training programs to all plant associates
  • Conduct specialized safety training and evaluate training effectiveness
  • Perform routine safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards
  • Support the Safety Manager in maintaining policies that adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environment (assembly/machine shop experience preferred)
  • Supervisory experience in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with safety-related education or experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
  • Excellent communication and training delivery skills
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and root cause analysis
Preferred Certifications:
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • CPE, CSP, or CIH certification
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to conduct plant floor inspections and audits
