On-Site | 20% Travel | $60-85k

Are you ready to lead safety from the front — not just maintain it?

We’re seeking a Safety Specialist who is passionate about building a proactive, sustainable safety culture across industrial and field operations. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations.

If you’re detail-driven, confident in the field, and energized by training and influencing others, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Strengthen Safety Programs

  • Develop, implement, and manage company-wide safety policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA 1910 & 1926)
  • Maintain OSHA logs and required documentation (including OSHA 300 forms)
  • Participate in OSHA inspections and represent the organization professionally

Drive Training & Workforce Development

  • Design and deliver safety training for new and current employees
  • Train on forklifts, overhead cranes, hand and power tools, PPE, scaffolding, fall protection, LOTO, and confined space
  • Maintain accurate training records and certifications
  • Increase employee awareness through communication, safety metrics, and engagement initiatives

Field & Customer Safety Oversight

  • Serve as the on-site safety liaison during field jobs and outages
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific safety requirements
  • Manage contractor qualification platforms (e.g., ISNetworld) to maintain top-tier ratings

Inspections, Investigations & Equipment Management

  • Conduct safety inspections and accident/near-miss investigations
  • Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions
  • Maintain and administer occupational health programs (respirator, drug & alcohol, driver safety, first aid, wellness initiatives)
  • Track and maintain safety equipment including fall protection, confined space monitoring, respirators, and LOTO systems
  • Lead and organize Safety Committee meetings

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree and/or minimum 2 years of experience in safety management or training

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety practices
  • Experience managing compliance programs in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
  • Ability to lead, train, and influence across departments
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and documentation systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and industrial/field environments
  • Travel approximately 15–20% for training, inspections, and field supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and entering confined spaces
  • Regular use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, hard hats, and work boots

Why Apply?

This is more than a compliance role. It’s a chance to build systems, strengthen culture, and protect people. If you want ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to elevate workplace safety standards, we’d love to connect.
