We’re seeking a Safety Specialist who is passionate about building a proactive, sustainable safety culture across industrial and field operations. This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA and all applicable regulations.

What You’ll Do
Lead & Strengthen Safety Programs
- Develop, implement, and manage company-wide safety policies, procedures, and initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA 1910 & 1926)
- Maintain OSHA logs and required documentation (including OSHA 300 forms)
- Participate in OSHA inspections and represent the organization professionally
Drive Training & Workforce Development
- Design and deliver safety training for new and current employees
- Train on forklifts, overhead cranes, hand and power tools, PPE, scaffolding, fall protection, LOTO, and confined space
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications
- Increase employee awareness through communication, safety metrics, and engagement initiatives
Field & Customer Safety Oversight
- Serve as the on-site safety liaison during field jobs and outages
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific safety requirements
- Manage contractor qualification platforms (e.g., ISNetworld) to maintain top-tier ratings
Inspections, Investigations & Equipment Management
- Conduct safety inspections and accident/near-miss investigations
- Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions
- Maintain and administer occupational health programs (respirator, drug & alcohol, driver safety, first aid, wellness initiatives)
- Track and maintain safety equipment including fall protection, confined space monitoring, respirators, and LOTO systems
- Lead and organize Safety Committee meetings
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree and/or minimum 2 years of experience in safety management or training
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and industrial safety practices
- Experience managing compliance programs in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
- Ability to lead, train, and influence across departments
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and documentation systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and industrial/field environments
- Travel approximately 15–20% for training, inspections, and field supervision
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders, and entering confined spaces
- Regular use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators, hard hats, and work boots
