Sales & Use Tax Manager - (In-Office, Relocation Provided) A large, well-established company near Youngstown, OH is seeking an experienced Sales & Use Tax Manager to join their finance team. This is an in‑office role offering a comprehensive relocation package for the right candidate. Why This Role Stands Out Lead and shape the company's state and local tax strategy. Work closely with internal teams and external CPA advisors to ensure compliance and accuracy. Play a key role in financial reporting, audits, and special business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Mentor and develop a growing tax team while managing complex projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and file multi-state and local sales & use tax returns. Analyze and interpret tax regulations and provide guidance on their business impact. Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency improvements. Conduct audits of internal processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards. Reconcile tax-related data in financial statements and oversee tax research projects. Lead, mentor, and evaluate staff, providing guidance on projects and professional development. Support business initiatives with tax insight for mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and other strategic activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a focus on taxation. 5+ years of senior-level tax experience, preferably with a focus on state and local taxes. Hands‑on experience with a large ERP system. Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to present financial results to stakeholders. Leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize deadlines. Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity.
