The position is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative, sales, and service support to the Thorlabs Measurement Systems Sales Department. This role requires an individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The position is based in Londonderry, NH.
Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and send quotations to customers.
- Supporting the Operations and Sales Department by preparing reports, presentations, proposals, and correspondence.
- Ensure all invoices are approved and/or generated & distributed on a daily basis.
- Receive and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy.
- Assist with coordinating shipments, both domestic and international, as well as to tradeshows and exhibitions
- Communicate with other Business Units within the Organization regarding sales and data information management.
- Generate and maintain forms and documents, as well as account information for new and existing customers and contacts
- Backup to Inside Account Manager.
In addition to the essential functions and duties listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
The Company retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
Physical Activities:
This role is a largely sedentary position; However, the ability to maneuver in and around a manufacturing environment is necessary.
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar and progressive position preferred.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and communication tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedures manuals, routine reports and various correspondences. Preferred experience working in an MRP System
- General knowledge of and enthusiasm for science
