Title: Sales Consultant, Bluebonnet

Location: Florida and the East Coast, reside in Florida

Summary:

The Sales Consultant should strive to understand the unique needs and limitations of customers and tailor both the product and service offering to meet those needs. Your goal is to provide solutions to any discovered problems and assist customers in implementing plans that will move them toward their goals in a manner that is mutually beneficial. Building relationships with customers, prospects and peers is critical to success. We have a strong, team-oriented culture focusing on trust and personal responsibility.

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with clients and communicate effectively with those clients and sales team members
  • Persuasive presentation style.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to analyze customer issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Persistency to independently pursue leads to generate sales.
  • Willingness to keep up to date on the latest advances in the industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of equine nutrition and the equine industry.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Team first mindset
Primary Duties:
  • Make sales calls on customers and prospects, including farms, veterinarians, and retail stores.
  • Represent and sell Bluebonnet Feeds and supplements in the assigned territory.
  • Lead sales training and field marketing within their territory.
  • Provide solutions to customers' and prospects' nutritional needs.
  • Help the customers solve problems which arise in their operations and capitalize on opportunities that exist.
  • Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Manage company resources in a professional manner.
Work Schedule:
  • 80 to 90% of work time is spent in the field working with customers and prospects.
  • 10 to 20% of work time is administrative activities, planning, follow up and attending company and industry meetings or events. This is done from a home office.
  • Overnight travel is required. Average of 2-3 nights per week.

  • Bluebonnet Feeds, LLC is a subsidiary of Standard Nutrition Company, based in Omaha, NE. Standard Nutrition has been serving the animal nutrition industry for over 135 years.
