About the Role We’re looking for motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to launch a career in sales and grow within the IT industry. As an SDR, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, responsible for opening doors, creating opportunities, and building the foundation of strong client relationships. You’ll play a critical role in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and connecting decision‑makers with our account executives. Along the way, you’ll receive structured training, mentorship, and hands‑on exposure to enterprise sales strategies, setting you up for future growth into senior sales roles. Key Responsibilities Proactively prospect and generate leads through outbound calling. Must have prior experience in Salesforce Conduct research to identify target accounts and the right contacts within them Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, budget, and potential business opportunities Secure and schedule discovery meetings with senior decision‑makers for the sales team Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all activities and interactions in CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot) Work closely with account executives and marketing to refine outreach strategies, messaging, and campaigns Stay informed on IT industry trends, enterprise solutions, and competitive offerings to effectively position Blue5Green’s capabilities Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity metrics (calls, emails, scheduled meetings) What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer‑facing role (internships and academic project experience welcome) Excellent communication skills — confident, articulate, and professional in both written and verbal interactions Comfortable making cold calls, handling objections, and driving conversations with decision‑makers Demonstrated drive to meet and exceed goals, whether in academic, internship, or work settings Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot; interest in AI‑enabled sales tools is a plus Curious about IT, CRM, and AI technologies, with a desire to build industry knowledge Resilient, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment Authorized to work in the US.
