A client of ours is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support and grow an established industrial customer base in Illinois. This role focuses on developing long‑term client relationships, identifying operational needs, and delivering engineered equipment and service solutions that add real value. You’ll work directly with customers to evaluate applications, review technical requirements, develop tailored proposals, and guide opportunities through negotiation and close. The role also includes prospecting for new business, managing existing accounts, and partnering with internal teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction from quote to delivery. What You’ll Do Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers Identify customer challenges and recommend appropriate equipment and service solutions Review technical specifications and translate requirements into clear proposals Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and support contract execution Generate new sales opportunities while managing existing accounts Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and operations teams What We’re Looking For Proven experience in technical or industrial sales with a strong customer‑focused approach Working knowledge of pumps, vacuum systems, blowers, and mechanical seals Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities Ability to work independently and manage time and priorities in a field‑based role Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (preferred) Background in industrial equipment or engineered product sales is a plus An Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
