Make an Impact by Turning Technical Solutions into Sales Success
Falcon Structures is transforming how businesses solve complex challenges through versatile container-based solutions. From workspaces and facilities that support the workforce to critical infrastructure enclosures used on demanding job sites, our products help customers move faster, operate smarter, and build with confidence.
Every successful project starts with a technically sound, well-scoped solution and that’s where this role is critical.
About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to support custom project development from concept through production start. This role bridges technical design, cost analysis, and customer-facing solution development, ensuring proposals are accurate, feasible, and aligned with customer expectations and internal capabilities.
The Sales Engineer partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Senior Leadership to develop creative, cost-effective solutions, prepare technical and cost documentation, and support strategic product development initiatives. This role combines strong technical understanding with customer-focused problem solving and financial analysis.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex requirements into clear, buildable, and sellable solutions.
Why This Role Matters
The Sales Engineer plays a key role in Falcon’s ability to win and execute custom projects successfully. By accurately evaluating requirements, developing budgets, and generating functional design solutions, this role helps ensure projects are approved, produced efficiently, and delivered profitably.
Your work directly impacts customer trust, project margins, and Falcon’s long-term product strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Shepherd custom projects from initial concept through production start.
- Review proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to identify labor, material, and time requirements.
- Calculate project costs by analyzing labor, materials, and timelines to support accurate pricing and quoting.
- Research and evaluate material sources to support cost, availability, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with PM staff to develop project budgets, updating estimates as designs or requirements evolve.
- Generate engineered design solutions that balance functionality, manufacturability, schedule, and cost
- Collaborate with the Production Team to develop practical, build-ready functional solutions.
- Prepare, gather, and present product submittal data for customer or management approval.
- Identify and resolve cost discrepancies by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing relevant information.
- Partner with Senior Leadership to support strategic product development and prioritization initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands on experience utilizing ERP systems to support estimating, material planning, job configuration, and cost tracking within a construction, modular, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Experience estimating labor, material, and time requirements for custom or engineered projects
- Comfort operating in engineering driven, build to order environments rather than transactional sales models
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost control and budget management
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to develop practical, customer-focused solutions
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, production, and leadership
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Why You’ll Love Working Here
The Sales Engineer role sits at the intersection of technical design, customer engagement, and execution. You’ll play a key part in shaping custom solutions, supporting strategic growth, and influencing how Falcon’s products evolve to meet market needs.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, balancing technical constraints with business goals, and being directly involved in bringing customer solutions to life, this role offers both challenge and impact.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales engineering, project engineering, estimating, or a related technical role
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across sales, production, and engineering
- Comfort working with cost models, budgets, and technical documentation
