Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced technical sales professional to join our team. The main responsibility of this individual will be to market and sell select Flow Tech product lines to design engineers, building owners/end users and contractors throughout ME, NH, VT and potentially parts of RI. Responsibilities Develop account relationships with end users, design engineers, contractors and manufacturing principals. Aim for the basis of design within engineer specifications for projects involving our products. Become contractors’ preferred source for our products/services and provide feedback to principals on how to improve products for the market. On-site training at the manufacturing facility or at Flow Tech will be required. Perform daily sales calls to meet with prospects and clients to move projects through the sales funnel and secure the order. Identify appropriate sales leads and manage them through the stages of project development to ensure timely conversion to booking plan. Maintain post-sale and post-project contact with customers to foster ongoing relationships and capture future sales opportunities from repeat customers. Engage with local professional organizations to establish new relationships and maintain existing ones, including after-work/evening events. Present products/solutions to customer groups in lunch & learn or other formats to educate potential customers about assigned product lines. Travel within territory to provide face-to-face contact with customers. Project Administration Interpret building plans and specifications to determine product applicability on a project from project documents. Analyze equipment/system selection and configuration for end users, design engineers, and design/build contractors. Compile pricing and quotations to end users and contractors; manage all orders received. Document detailed records of current opportunities and booked orders in CRM and electronic filing systems. Participate in training to maintain understanding of Flow Tech’s product lines and sales process. Manage projects post-sale including submittals, documentation and release; coordinate with Flow Tech service department for startup/service requests. Speak intelligently about Flow Tech’s products/services to customers within a few months. Qualifications Electrical, mechanical or applicable technical background Minimum of 5 years’ relevant sales experience Knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems and the construction industry Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with CRM sales management tools Ability to work independently and interact with customers Ideal candidate will Have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills Be smart and energetic with the willingness to work flexible hours in the construction and service environment Represent the company well and be willing to continually learn and become educated on new products and technology Compensation Competitive compensation packages are available and negotiable depending on the candidate’s experience.
