About The Job
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with experience in bootstrapping, team building, and process development to lead and grow our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing direct reports in a sales capacity and a proven ability to develop and scale sales strategies from the ground up. Experience in one or more of the following industries is highly preferred: data sales, direct mail, political campaigns, fundraising, nonprofit, or data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
Team Building & Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Bootstrapping & Growth: Build scalable sales processes and strategies in a fast-paced, resource, conscious environment.
Process Development: Create, refine, and implement sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Pipeline Management: Oversee the sales pipeline, ensuring targets and quotas are met through proper forecasting and lead management.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track key sales metrics, generate reports, and present findings to leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in sales, with at least 2 years managing direct reports in a sales capacity.
Industry Experience (Preferred): Background in data sales, direct mail, political campaigns, fundraising, nonprofit, or data analysis.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Strong ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies in both startup and established environments.
Leadership & Team Development: Proven experience in hiring, training, and mentoring sales professionals.
Process Optimization: Ability to develop, refine, and scale sales processes for maximum efficiency.
Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking.
Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to close deals and build long-term client relationships.
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales automation platforms
