The Sales Manager is responsible for both directsales and working with DTS reseller partners to promote DTS productsand services globally. This is a dynamic position requiring acombination of sales skills, excellent organizational skills, theability to multi-task and effective people skills. This job description is not designed to cover or contain acomprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities thatare required of the employee for this job. Additionalresponsibilities and requirements may be added or changed at any timewith or without notice. Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to: Sources, develops, and closes new sales opportunities. Collaborates with the Sales Director to create and execute a salesplan focused on increasing DTS sales, including short- and long-term strategies. Enables Sales Partners through training, joint sales calls,Quarterly Business Reviews and other activities. Creates sales quotations and detailed proposals. Develops and maintains a sales forecast and reporting. Assists with defining potential custom accessories or productsneeded to complete complex customer application solutions. Conducts on-site and virtual product demonstrations. Maintains and updates Salesforce CRM database, including preparinga sales forecast. Uses social media tools, primarily Linked In to promote DTS solutions. Assists in identifying new products to meet customer needs. Interfaces with customer service and technical support departmentsto assure that customer expectations are met. Attends tradeshows and regional seminars. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as requested byDTS management. Experience and Skills: Qualifications and Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able toperform the Responsibilities and Duties satisfactorily. Thequalifications and skills listed below are representative of theknowledge, skills, and/or abilities for the job. Reasonableaccommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities toperform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job. Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering,Manufacturing Engineering or similar discipline and previous salesexperience (approx. 5+ years) in the Test and Measurement or relatedindustry, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceis necessary. In-depth knowledge of data acquisition hardware, sensors, andassociated software is necessary. Strong understanding of the technical sales process, with proveninterpersonal skills, and passion to pursue a career path in sales.Formal sales training is a plus (e.g. Sandler, Miller-Heiman). Experience with dynamic test and measurement applications with theability to understand customer requirements and propose solutions is necessary. Demonstrated ability to appropriately address and documentdetails, simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, andcollaborate effectively with other individuals/departments isnecessary. The ability to effectively communicate, verbally and inwriting, in a professional, diplomatic manner is also necessary. Ability to effectively prepare and deliver product demonstrationsand PowerPoint presentations is necessary. Demonstrated proficiency using MS Windows PC as well as variouscomputer programs, such as Outlook Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, aswell as, the ability to learn and master several essential DTSsoftware products is necessary. Previous experience using LinkedIn and/or Sales Navigator toprospect for new business is strongly preferred. Why Join DTS?
