This position reports to Vice President, Automotive Robotics – USA. Role Description The Sales Manager, Automotive Business Line, US Robotics will be responsible for management and administration of Automotive customer accounts and directly manage the US Automotive Sales team. This position also maintains close business relationships with customers, including relationship ownership and account planning for large, strategic US accounts. This position will manage activities of the group responsible for the sale of products and services within the US Automotive Business line. Direct the evaluation of commercial and engineering aspects of customer requirements, including management of the proposals released and develop and implement sales strategies designed to satisfy business needs and market movement trends. Typical duties/responsibilities Manage sales activities to achieve assigned order intake, margin, and ownership of strategic relationships for large, key accounts in the US. Ensure that business opportunities are recognized, and the business units are positioned to take full advantage of those opportunities. Direct Key Account Managers in Automotive US Robotics and assist them with complex negotiations and sales strategies. Coordinate with Global Key Account Managers and Global Pricing Management for all US Automotive customers. Monitor sales and sales support activities to ensure customer satisfaction. Establish, build, and maintain long‑term customer relationships in order to respond effectively to customer requirements, influence customer decisions, provide the Company with competitive advantages and maximize profit margins. Manage or coordinate communications among customers and the internal business to ensure accurate, consistent, and clear information that is responsive to customers. Provide visibility and insights to the business units to help meet customer needs, identify resource requirements, forecast factory loading and provide value‑added offerings in response to customer inquiries. Provide counsel and play a key role in meetings with senior managers to develop sales strategies, plans and schedules. Manage countrywide sales activities for the Automotive Business Line to achieve assigned sales, margins, and related objectives. Negotiate leases and prepare and administer budgets. Provide guidance and training to staff, establish standards, manage and document performance and develop associated recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field Minimum 10 years experience in the position advertised, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience will be considered Prior experience leading a commercial team Prior experience managing global stakeholders and large global customer activities and/or accounts We value people from different backgrounds.
