Position Summary 

As a Junior Sales Operations Intern, you’ll support the sales team in essential tasks, gaining foundational experience in lead generation, CRM management, and sales content creation. This is a hands-on role that will help you develop key business skills, while also contributing to the success of our sales efforts. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead Sourcing & Opportunities: Help identify potential leads, events, and partnership opportunities by researching target markets, industries, and competitors. Assist in gathering information for the sales pipeline. 
  • Content Creation: Create basic social media posts, educational materials, and presentations under guidance. Learn how to craft materials that align with our brand and resonate with target audiences. 
  • Sales Team Support: Work closely with the sales team to prepare for client meetings and events by gathering and organizing materials. Assist in putting together resources for outreach campaigns. 
  • Account/Policy Research: Assist in researching client accounts, industry regulations, and market trends to support sales strategies. Provide summaries and key findings to help inform decision-making. 
  • CRM Management: Learn to manage our CRM system by inputting data and maintaining accurate records of leads and client interactions. Assist with data entry and cleanup to ensure information is up-to-date. 
  • Proposal Generation: Support the creation of sales proposals by gathering data and drafting initial versions. Collaborate with team members to ensure proposals are accurate and professional. 
  • Data Cleansing: Help clean and organize sales data to improve reporting accuracy. Learn best practices for maintaining data integrity in a business setting. 

 

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Eager to learn and grow in the field of sales operations 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 
  • Good organizational and time management skills 
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Interest in business development or course work related to business development 

Preferred: 

  • Basic experience with social media or content creation 
  • Coursework or interest in business, sales, or marketing 
  • An interest in renewable energy is a plus
