Sales Order Packer - Summer HelpEssential job functions:Pick correct parts and quantities according to the sales orders (pick slip)Utilize personal lift equipment, carts, or pallet jacks to properly move the itemsPackage orders using standard commercial packaging provided to eliminate damage to parts or productsFollow quality procedures to ensure part numbers and quantity of items are correct and quality of the packaging are up to standardUse of computer to enter the correct data into the shipping software for each shipmentSort packaged freight to appropriate carrier binWork as part of a cross-functional team to ensure shipments are sent in a timely fashionKeep an organized, clean, and safe work areaWorking conditions:Continuously standing and walkingContinuously hearing forklift traffic and other noiseContinuously inside work in a climate-controlled environmentContinuously works independently but as a part of a group to meet team deadlinesFrequently lift items <20 poundsFrequently push and pull cartsFrequent handling of product with occasional use of gripping itemsFrequent lifting above and below shoulderFrequent bending, stooping or twistingFrequent use of spatial perception while packing items in boxesFrequent use of reading pick lists and order informationOccasionally lift items between 20 to 30 poundsOccasionally use fine finger movements such as using the computerOccasional writing numbers on pack sheets and misc. notesInfrequently lift items between 30 to 50 pounds (team lift is required for anything over 50 pounds)Personal Protective Equipment would include Safety Shoes (continuously) and Safety Glasses and Gloves (occasionally)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
