Amplify Ag Illinois is a leading agriculture research and development company specializing in Soil Health. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sampling Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and processing soil, plant tissue, and water samples for analysis. The Sampling Technician is a critical member of our research team and plays a key role in gathering accurate and reliable data that drives our research and development efforts. This role with have the ability to travel across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Collect samples from designated locations according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples to maintain sample integrity and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Prepare and package samples for transport to the laboratory, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sample collection, including location, time, and any relevant observations.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while collecting samples.
  • Collaborate with scientists and other team members to troubleshoot any issues related to sample collection and processing.
  • Assist with data entry

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to be outdoors in multiple environments
  • Previous experience in a laboratory or field sampling environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills, including data entry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to travel within a 250 mile radius
