Job Opportunity: Vice President Sanctions Operations
Our client, a leading global financial services organization at the center of the world's economic system, is seeking an expert in Sanctions List Management to join their Global Sanctions Operations team. Location: Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid Work Model)
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Vice President overseeing Sanctions List Management, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of List Management Analysts responsible for maintaining various internal and external sanctions lists.
- Oversee the daily completion of regulatory, sanctions, and internal list management updates.
- Collaborate with senior management and the Global Sanctions Compliance team to ensure sanctions list changes are appropriately approved and documented.
- Ensure all quality assurance and reconciliation procedures related to list updates are performed by established policies and procedures.
- Enhance vendor-provided watchlists by identifying and updating missing or outdated entries.
- Direct the implementation of updates, modifications, and new entries to vendor-provided sanctions lists.
- Supervise quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedure guidelines.
- Maintain meticulous records of sanctions screening list updates, quality reviews, and approvals in compliance with applicable recordkeeping requirements.
- Support audit and validation requests for filter and alert monitoring systems.
- Partner with the Testing and Tuning team to provide secondary support for creating and approving rules and exceptions.
- Support other general sanctions operations activities as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7-10 years of total work experience, including 1-3 years in a management role (preferred).
- 10-12 years of combined experience in Financial Services, Audit, and Compliance (preferred).
- At least 1 year of sanctions-related experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of sanctions list management, including familiarity with LexisNexis Bridger and Fircosoft systems (a plus).
- Applicable local/regional certifications as required by the business.
