Salary: $75,000 – $92,000 per year

Your Impact in This Role
As Sanitation Supervisor, you will lead sanitation operations across the facility while ensuring strict compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. You’ll coordinate sanitation personnel, oversee cleaning procedures, and help maintain a safe and compliant production environment.
Your leadership will help ensure the facility operates efficiently while meeting the highest industry sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Supervise Sanitation Operations
- Schedule, train, and supervise sanitation staff
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and discipline when necessary
- Ensure sanitation activities are completed effectively and on schedule
Maintain Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and food safety regulations
- Train employees on sanitation procedures and SOPs
- Maintain sanitation records including:
- SSOPs
- Pest control documentation
- Inspection records
Manage Sanitation Programs and Resources
- Oversee sanitation equipment, chemicals, and supply inventory
- Coordinate equipment repairs when needed
- Monitor sanitation effectiveness and operational performance
Track Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Support leadership by tracking key departmental metrics such as:
- Staffing levels
- Overtime
- Chemical usage
- Pre-operational inspection results
- Identify opportunities to improve sanitation efficiency and compliance
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- 3–5 years of sanitation experience in food manufacturing
- 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
- Familiarity with FDA standards and GFSI auditing requirements
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Work Environment
This role operates within a food manufacturing facility, where sanitation is essential to safe and efficient operations.
The position may involve exposure to:
- Moving mechanical equipment
- Wet or humid environments
- Hot and cold temperature areas
- Cleaning chemicals and sanitation materials
- Moderate plant noise levels
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 70 pounds
- Bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
- Working in temperature-controlled environments ranging from -10°F to 85°F
Safety protocols and protective equipment are required to ensure a safe working environment.
