Sanitation Lead

Pay: $25.00/hour

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position Summary

The Sanitation Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing sanitation activities to ensure all equipment and facility areas meet food safety and quality standards. This role provides leadership to the sanitation team, coordinates cleaning schedules, and ensures all sanitation procedures are completed effectively and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee cleaning and sanitation of equipment, tools, and facility areas
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning
• Assign, coordinate, and monitor weekly shutdown cleaning tasks
• Manage and execute the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
• Inspect equipment and facility areas post-cleaning to ensure compliance
• Train, coach, and support sanitation team members
• Maintain accurate sanitation records, including chemical usage logs
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper chemical handling

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sanitation or industrial cleaning experience required
• At least 3 months of experience leading, training, or directing a team
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and safety guidelines
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, bending, and crouching throughout the shift
• Ability to work in warm environments (up to 100°F)
• Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds occasionally
