Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Location: Sparta, MI Shift: 2nd Shift Pay: $19

Are you dependable and detail-oriented? We're seeking a Sanitation Worker to join our team in Sparta, MI. In this role, you’ll conduct and document hourly sanitation rounds throughout the facility, help maintain a clean, safe, and food-compliant environment, and assist production as needed. Full training and PPE are provided.
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Sanitation Worker, your core responsibilities will include:
- Sanitation Tasks: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of the facility, focusing on high-touch and common surfaces.
- Food Safety Compliance: Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety guidelines.
- Production Support: Assist production teams as needed while maintaining safety and cleanliness.
In addition, you will also safely handle cleaning chemicals, operate PIT and other cleaning equipment, taste test products when required, and maintain clean surrounding work areas.
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Skills:
- Trainability: Eager to learn and follow proper sanitation procedures.
- Focus & Reliability: Stay on task with limited supervision.
- Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot and address issues as they arise.
- Flexibility: Comfortable adapting to varying schedules and job duties.
