Job SummaryWe are seeking a Junior/Mid-Level SAP ABAP Consultant with hands-on SAP IS-U experience to support an ongoing utilities transformation project. This role will take over post-design activities from a Senior SAP IS-U Consultant and will focus on ABAP development, enhancements, integration support, defect resolution, and UAT/production support within the SAP IS-U landscape.The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of SAP ABAP experience, with proven exposure to SAP IS-U modules and utilities business processes, and is comfortable working in an implementation or rollout environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSAP IS-U & ABAP DevelopmentDevelop, enhance, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, forms, interfaces, and enhancements supporting SAP IS-U processesImplement IS-U–specific developments such as:Billing & Invoicing (IS-U-BI)Device Management (IS-U-DM)Customer Service (IS-U-CS)Meter Reading and Meter-to-Cash processesSupport custom developments, user exits, BAdIs, and enhancements related to utilities workflowsIntegration & Data HandlingSupport interfaces between SAP IS-U and external systems (e.g., CRM, MDMS, payment gateways, legacy systems)Assist with data migration, data correction programs, and reconciliation reportsDebug and resolve issues related to IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, and web servicesTesting & SupportProvide development support during SIT, UAT, and cutover activitiesFix defects and performance issues identified during testing phasesSupport post-go-live stabilization and production incidentsCollaborate with functional consultants to translate functional requirements into technical solutionsDocumentation & CollaborationPrepare technical specifications and development documentationWork closely with functional IS-U consultants, testers, and business stakeholdersParticipate in knowledge transfer sessions and follow established development standardsRequired Skills & ExperienceMandatory3+ years of SAP ABAP development experienceHands-on experience with SAP IS-U (Utilities) in at least one implementation or support projectStrong knowledge of:ABAP Reports, ALV, Forms (SmartForms / Adobe)Enhancements, BAdIs, User ExitsDebugging and performance tuningFamiliarity with utilities business processes (Meter-to-Cash, Billing, Customer Management)Nice to HaveExperience supporting SAP IS-U post-implementation or rollout projectsExposure to SAP S/4HANA utilities or ECC to S/4 migration projectsBasic knowledge of SAP Workflow, OData, or PI/PO / CPI integrationsExperience working in UAT or production support environmentsSoft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionGood communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teamsWillingness to learn and grow deeper in SAP IS-U utilities domainEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
