Job Title: SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator
Location: Minnesota (Hybrid Must be local to Minnesota)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) Administrator to join our Data Platform and Support team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing BOBJ environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting deployments and infrastructure. This role will focus on administration, performance tuning, security maintenance, and supporting end users. The position is a long-term contract expected to extend into 2027 with potential for further opportunities. This role requires you to be local to Minnesota and work on a hybrid schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage deployments, configurations, scheduling, and monitoring of development, test, and production environments for BOBJ.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning of the BOBJ environments.
  • Monitor and maintain the health and security of the BOBJ platform, including user access and security controls.
  • Perform BOBJ administration tasks such as installation, patching, upgrades, universe migrations, and enhancements.
  • Provide end-user support and technical assistance to developers for the full BOBJ product stack.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for BOBJ administration and support.
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for production environment support and troubleshooting.
  • Work closely with vendors to address technical issues and perform patching.
  • Support the testing and implementation of database, server, and application upgrades.
  • Train internal users on client software and support their usage of BOBJ tools.
  • Write and maintain documentation for standard procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Provide innovative solutions to improve processes within the team.
Essential Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of experience in BOBJ administration, including installation, patching, and upgrade management.
  2. Expertise in BOBJ security, infrastructure design, and best practices for SAP BusinessObjects.
  3. Strong knowledge of tools like Web Intelligence, Information Design Tool, and Universe Design Tool.
  4. Experience working with BIP 4.2 or 4.3+ versions in the last three years.
  5. Proficiency with Load Balancers (F5), Apache Tomcat, SSO, and SSL Certificate Administration within the BOBJ environment.
  6. SQL database management experience and script generation experience (minimum 2 years).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. SAP BO Certified Professional (Preferred).
  2. Experience with Wiiisdom 360 Suite or other Business Objects Audit tools.
  3. Experience with Infosol Infoburst.
