SAP FICO ConsultantEssential SkillsMinimum of 5 years’ experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA configuration and customizing (SPRO).Strong knowledge of Finance & Controlling business processes.Experience working across core SAP modules in cross-functional environments.Understanding of ABAP, including the ability to debug and collaborate on technical specifications.Experience with EDI and system integrations.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with Business Process Owners and external partners.Fluent in English.Desirable SkillsFamiliarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.Additional European language skills.About the RoleAs an SAP Finance & Controlling Application Owner, you will act as an internal consultant with full end-to-end ownership of the Finance & Controlling application landscape. You will be responsible for incidents, changes, and project-related activities, leveraging your in-depth understanding of both systems and business processes.You will ensure system stability and performance across productive and test environments. In production systems, you guide and support the business in master data maintenance and housekeeping activities. In test environments, you take full ownership — conducting end-to-end testing, training sessions, and demonstrations when required.Incident management is a core responsibility. While day-to-day resolution may be handled by an outsourced AMS team (L1/L2), you remain accountable for service quality, SLA compliance, escalation handling, and reducing recurring issues through effective problem management and preventive actions.You are jointly responsible for change requests and system improvements. In close collaboration with the European Business Process Owner, you gather and analyze requirements, promote standard SAP solutions wherever possible, and prepare comprehensive functional specifications. You oversee configuration activities (executing them yourself or coordinating external partners), collaborate with developers on technical designs, and conduct unit testing before release. You validate UAT results, monitor deployment to production, and ensure changes are only closed once business confirmation is received.You contribute to broader IT and business projects and continuously keep yourself informed about new SAP developments and internal business trends to proactively anticipate future requirements.
