Talascend is currently seeking a SAP Functional Analyst Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Calvert, Alabama . Overview The ideal candidate will be capable of diagnosing problems and developing and implementing solutions in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD). They will effectively understand relevant business processes and model them internally, as well as perform highly complex tasks dealing with the analysis and design of solutions serving both the business line and functional units to support the business needs. Responsibilities Provide necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units Provide guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials Provide day‑to‑day user support, as well as drive improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions Demonstrate the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment Demonstrate commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001 (current version), IATF 16949 (current version), and ISO 17025 (current version) Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or combination of post‑secondary education and related experience required 5+ years minimum experience in SAP configuration and/or implementation Requirements Detailed understanding of SAP Sales and Distribution is required Knowledge of S4/HANA architecture necessary Involved with at least one full lifecycle implementation of SAP Should have demonstrated knowledge about manufacturing processes in a steel producer/processor industry or similar manufacturing environment Project management skills needed (i.e. project plan development and tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, metrics development and tracking) Proficiency in MS Office products Knowledge of SAP maintenance tools beneficial Demonstrates strong decision‑making, analytical, and problem‑solving skills Able to competently handle a fast‑paced environment, with strong organizational, multi‑tasking, and prioritizing skills Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism Shift Onsite role with standard 5 day week schedule We thank all applicants for their interest.
