Position Overview
We are seeking a self-motivated SAP Junior Technical Support Engineer to join a dedicated team focused on modernizing Public Health Financial and Administrative systems. This role is instrumental in configuring, maintaining, and enhancing SAP ECC HR modules (SCEIS platform) to streamline operations and ensure data integrity.
The successful candidate will work under limited supervision to align business needs with technical capabilities, ensuring systems follow industry best practices and comply with federal and state regulatory laws.
Daily Duties & Responsibilities
- System Configuration: Maintain SAP ECC HR modules; recommend and implement workflow-driven solutions to reduce manual data entry.
- Testing & Implementation: Execute unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements and patches.
- Data & Reporting: Monitor data accuracy and develop dashboards using SAP tools, Excel, and Power BI.
- Support & Documentation: Create SOPs, technical records, and user guides. Provide technical support to HR users and assist with training.
- Collaboration: Work across HR, IT, and Finance departments to design position-based access controls and ensure system security alignment (NIST 800-53, FISMA).
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC (SCEIS) HR modules, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: 3+ years of experience with State HR/Payroll processes and data privacy standards (HIPAA, FLSA).
- Technical Proficiency: 3+ years in data validation, integrity monitoring, and advanced reporting (Power BI/Excel).
- Access Control: 3+ years of experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and position-driven configurations.
- Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Visio, PowerPoint) and collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Teams).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with IT security standards (NIST 800-53, SC InfoSec policies).
- Prior experience with Public Sector or Government IT implementation projects.
