SASS MRO Maintenance Representative - Supplemental Saltchuk Aviation Shared Services (SASS) has a supplemental position as MRO Maintenance Representative to assist with heavy maintenance events across Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, South America, the Caribbean, and the United States. The role starts at $65 per hour (plus DOE) for the right candidate and is remote, with travel to sites for on-site services. Position Summary Serve as on-site representative for Saltchuk Aviation Shared Services during heavy maintenance events. Responsibilities Oversee MRO activities to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer service bulletins, and company manuals. Collaborate with leadership to improve MRO performance and procedures. Act as the company's on-site technical representative, including stop-work authority if safety concerns arise. Verify vendor personnel qualifications for aircraft maintenance tasks. Review and address findings from Heavy Maintenance inspections. Assist in developing repair plans and coordinate with engineering teams. Monitor material requirements and coordinate procurement as needed. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities in TRAX. Promote a positive and productive work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide feedback on MRO performance. Position Requirements FAA mechanic's certificate with airframe and powerplant ratings or a technical/engineering degree. Ability to lead vendors and personnel effectively in a fast-paced environment. Valid passport and ability to travel internationally without restrictions. Valid driver's license. Ability to pass pre-employment screening and obtain necessary badges. Communication Skills Ability to give oral and written instructions, interpret aircraft drawings, wire diagrams, and manuals. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication with contractors, personnel, and stakeholders. Work Environment Primarily office work supporting hangar and ramp activities. Exposure to weather, wet or icy conditions, and high winds. Potential for varied shifts and extended periods near aircraft. Travel to domestic and international destinations. Use of personal protective equipment may be required. Physical Requirements Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, and balance.
