Introduction

The Department of Health Services (DHS), Central Wisconsin Center (CWC) is recruiting for a Scheduling Administrator. CWC provides short-term and long-term residential services to assist people living with intellectual disabilities in acquiring the personal skills needed to reach their highest potential. CWC is located at 317 Knutson Drive on the north side of Madison.

CWC is part of the Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS). DCTS is committed to helping all state residents live their best lives through an interconnected web of behavioral health services. Watch this video to learn more about the work of DCTS.

This position will typically work Monday-Friday from 1 pm-9:30 pm. We offer a team-oriented atmosphere and a focus on work-life balance.

Position Summary

As the Scheduling Administrator, you will prepare and maintain complex work schedules of 24/7 assigned staff, work with supervisors in the use of scheduling software, complete administrator functions in relation to scheduling, act as resource for other staff when supervisors are unavailable and assist with center wide scheduling, and provide program support.

Salary Information

The starting pay is $21.66 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as an Operations Program Associate and is in pay schedule and range 02/11.

Job Details

All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.

DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:

  • Experience providing administrative support in an office environment (e.g., filing and maintaining documents, answering and routing phone calls, preparing correspondence, etc.).
  • Experience using office-based computer software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience preparing and maintaining schedules in an electronic format.

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:

  • Experience researching and communicating information (e.g., program requirements, status updates, instructions, etc.).
  • Experience providing customer service (e.g., providing instructions, answering questions, resolving customer complaints/conflict, etc.) in a professional or business setting.
  • Experience working in a confidential environment, such as a medical facility or HIPPA requirements.
