Job Description
Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract position is available for a skilled Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with experience in school settings, located in Danbury, CT, supporting an elementary student during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time role requires 37.5 hours per week and focuses on providing specialized behavioral support within a public school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans for an elementary student exhibiting running behavior and moderate aggression.
- Work collaboratively with educators and other behavior specialists to monitor and adjust behavioral strategies.
- Collect data and document student progress consistently to inform treatment modifications.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed to manage student behavior effectively.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current registration as a Behavior Technician (RBT) with verifiable school setting experience.
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors in an educational environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with school staff and families.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and behavior management techniques.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and comply with school policies.
