Must have pleted Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

MUST Have:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certification

Details:
Position Type: Full-Time
Caseload: supporting about 32 students
Pay range: $49-$56+/hr; determined byexperience

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive functional behavior assessments (FBA) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIP) based on the findings from the FBA, employing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on the effective implementation of behavior intervention plans, ensuring consistent and appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior intervention plans by systematically collecting and analyzing data on student behavior.
  • Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and munity agencies to ensure the student's unique needs are met and interventions are consistent across environments.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on the development of goals and objectives related to behavior management.
  • Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in behavior analysis, and share this knowledge with school staff members to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors in a school setting preferred but not required.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational and munication skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel, parents, and munity agencies.
  • Display a strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education and behavior management in schools.
