POSITION SUMMARY

The School Counselor will play a vital role in supporting our students' academic, social, and emotional well-being. They will provide individual and group counseling sessions, collaborate with teachers and staff, and coordinate with outside agencies to ensure students receive the necessary support.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students to address a variety of issues, including academic concerns, social challenges, and personal difficulties.
• Develop and implement counseling programs to promote the mental health and well-being of students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify and address student needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, such as therapists, psychiatrists, and community organizations, to ensure that students receive appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
• Possession of Pupil Services Specialist (PSS) credentials
• Experience working with students in a school setting, preferably in special education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
• Passion for helping students reach their full potential
