Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 support in a school setting located in Spotsylvania, VA. This role primarily involves working in a medical room at an elementary school, supporting a student with complex medical needs while also assisting other students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care including observation and timely intervention for a student with a complex medical history
• Assist with tube feedings and monitor seizures, including intervention through a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) as required
• Support activities of daily living for the assigned student and assist with the medical and safety needs of other students during the day
• Maintain appropriate documentation and communicate with staff regarding student health status

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid LPN/LVN licensure is required
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
• Proficiency in managing students with complex medical conditions, including seizure care and tube feeding
• Strong observational skills and ability to intervene effectively in medical situations
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach

Work Schedule and Location:

• 37.5 hours per week
• School-based assignment in Spotsylvania, VA
