Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is available in a school setting located in South River, NJ. This contract role supports a kindergarten student requiring one-on-one nursing care to address various medical needs. The assignment runs immediately through June 23, 2026, and includes a spring break from April 3-10. Working hours are from 8:25 am to 3:25 pm, five days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide continuous medical monitoring and care throughout the school day for a kindergarten student.
- Assist with feeding to ensure proper chewing and swallowing.
- Monitor vital signs, including temperature and glucose levels.
- Manage allergy-related care and any other medically necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to maintain the student's health and safety.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey LPN licensure/certification is required.
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and attentive care to children with complex medical needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a school environment.
