Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A temporary opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services. This position involves providing leave coverage in a K-12 school setting located in Mentor, OH, from the first week of April through May. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with students individualized education plans (IEPs) across grades K-12.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement therapy goals within the school environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet therapeutic objectives.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate therapy plans and outcomes with families and school personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all school and state regulations governing school-based occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid occupational therapy license with expertise in school-based therapy.
  • Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of school system protocols and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to provide therapy independently within a multidisciplinary school team.
