A temporary opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services. This position involves providing leave coverage in a K-12 school setting located in Mentor, OH, from the first week of April through May. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with students individualized education plans (IEPs) across grades K-12.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement therapy goals within the school environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet therapeutic objectives.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate therapy plans and outcomes with families and school personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all school and state regulations governing school-based occupational therapy.
Qualifications:
- Valid occupational therapy license with expertise in school-based therapy.
- Experience working with children in K-12 educational settings.
- Strong understanding of school system protocols and documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to provide therapy independently within a multidisciplinary school team.
