MPNN BH has over 60 distinct programs to aid and support all ages and many situations.Job ResponsibilitiesOperates as a school liaison and facilitates Telehealth services.Provides administrative/clerical, data entry support (compiling reports and data) and grant reporting to the SAMHSA Youth and Family Tree Grant # H79TI083670 programAnswers telephones; directs clients and calls to appropriate staff; provides general information regarding services and fees; refers clients to other service agencies.Performs general clerical duties that include typing court documents, letters, and reports; calculating, recording, and reconciling fees collected.Provides to clients general information regarding Mental Health and Substance Abuse services; assists in scheduling appointments with clinicians. May provide reminder/confirmation calls.Maintains client's charts and computer records; reviews client charts and records to ensure accuracy and completeness of all information and documents.Runs reports in EHR related to staff activities, service recordings, and chart auditing. Copies charts as needed and appropriate for record release.Performs routine filing and record maintenance. Other Duties, as assignedJob RequirementsEssentialMust pass all required Background Checks.Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License with reliable transportation and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results within 30 days of employment, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority.EducationHigh School DiplomaExperienceExperience in clerical, or secretarial related work preferably in a clinical setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Preferred CompetenciesHas general knowledge of BH and departmental rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and the ability to interpret them. Has general knowledge of the organization and functions of the Counseling Center. Has general knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, including knowledge of popular computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet, and file maintenance programs. Has general knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary. Is skilled in the operation of popular office machines, including computer-driven data entry equipment. Is able to make routine administrative decisions independently in accordance with laws, regulations, and BH policies and procedures, and to solve problems and answer questions. Is able to develop and modify work procedures, methods, and processes to improve efficiency. Is able to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
