Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist is sought to provide services in a K-12 school setting located in Hewitt, TX. This position offers the opportunity to support students' developmental and educational needs through skilled occupational therapy interventions within the school environment during the school year.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized occupational therapy services aligned with students' IEP goals.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to integrate therapy goals into the educational setting.
- Utilize specialized skills in home health and healthcare occupational therapy to enhance student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements.
- Guide and support two onsite Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) who assist in therapy delivery.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant experience in school-based OT.
- Expertise or prior experience in home health and healthcare occupational therapy settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must hold appropriate state licensure and credentials for school-based therapy services.
- Commitment to full-time employmentapproximately 40 hours per week.
- Candidates must be Occupational Therapists (Ots); Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) will not be considered for this role.
