Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students across K-12 in a dynamic school environment located in Rockport, TX. This position offers a contract role during the current school year, focusing on delivering therapy services that enhance students functional skills and promote educational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with credentials to practice in Texas
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Familiarity with educational settings and IEP process
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to support diverse student populations
