Job Opportunity: Scientific Policy Analyst

Are you a passionate, analytical, and detail-oriented professional looking to make an impact in science policy and program planning? We're seeking a highly motivated individual to support a dynamic team in advancing research and policy initiatives related to health, science, and public impact.

Location: Bethesda, MD (Onsite)
Education Required: Master's degree in a health-related research field

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex scientific variables and draft reports summarizing research findings and program activities.
  • Conduct literature reviews to inform best practices, policy briefs, and program guidelines.
  • Prepare and edit scientific reports, proposals, and technical documents.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on strategic planning, program evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Develop materials for workshops, meetings, and Congressional briefings, ensuring clear communication of goals and outcomes.
  • Provide support for cross-organizational initiatives, research collaborations, and compliance policies.
  • Identify research gaps, formulate recommendations, and assist in synthesizing stakeholder input for senior leadership.
  • Plan and execute technical meetings, workshops, and conferences to discuss research priorities and articulate agendas.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Master's degree in a health-related research field (Ph.D. preferred).
  • Experience: Background in conducting health-related research and preparing scientific reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with NIH grants, funding mechanisms, and clinical research compliance is highly valued.

Field of Study Backgrounds:

  • Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or other related fields.
