MW Partners is currently seeking a Scientist to work for our client who is a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Development, optimize, and scale-up purification processes for biologics candidates to support early stage development
  • Analyse and interpret data to drive technical understanding, meet project targets and objectives, problem solve, and make recommendations that drive efficiency, knowledge, and manage risk
  • Collaborate closely with other functional areas involved in antibody therapeutics development, including upstream process development, analytical development, project management, and cross-functional partners
  • Work effectively with external collaborators and CROs
  • Coordinate activities with functional groups and project teams
  • Discuss experiments and data to project team members
  • Develop, write, and review standard operating protocols and other technical documents
  • May act as a lead for assigned projects or team
  • Mentor and train other technical staff

Requirements:

  • Education Bachelor
  • Experience 4+ years
  • Equivalency Masters with 2+ years of experience
  • Experience in protein purification techniques, especially chromatography; antibody purification experience preferred
  • Proficient in writing methods and operating AKTA chromatographic instruments (such as AKTA Avant, AKTA Purifier, AKTA Pure, AKTA Ready or similar)
  • Strong scientific understanding and logical thinking
  • Ability to train others in basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation
  • Proficiency in analytical method development and analytical method validation
  • Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving activities
