Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Experienced O.R. Surgical Technologist First Assistant needed to support surgeons in a busy operating room environment. This contract role offers an immediate start and a 13-week assignment on the day shift, Monday through Friday, with some on-call and weekend on-call duties. Shift schedules may include 4-10 hour days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the surgeons primary assistant throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, anesthesiologists, and CRNAs to ensure optimal patient care.
• Apply expert knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniques during invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize in-depth understanding of human anatomy, surgical protocols, and specialized instruments to facilitate successful surgeries.
• Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards throughout procedures.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology surgical assisting program (CAAHEP-accredited).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is required.
• Must hold current certification as a First Assistant through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years prior surgical assisting experience required.
• Licensure status must be disclosed at time of application submission.
