Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A professional role is available for a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) specializing in Operating Room Technology (ORT) to support a hospital in Shakopee, MN. This contract position offers dynamic 10-hour shifts with varied start times, providing flexibility for your work schedule.

Location:
Shakopee, MN, is a vibrant city known for its welcoming community and easy access to the Twin Cities metropolitan area. It offers a blend of modern amenities, outdoor recreational opportunities, and a comfortable living environment ideal for healthcare professionals looking to balance work and lifestyle.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies for orthopedic, neuro, peripheral vascular, and cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Assist surgeons during procedures, including total joint support and trauma cases.
  • Maintain strict adherence to surgical protocols and safety standards, ensuring patient and staff safety.
  • Utilize EPIC and DaVinci systems effectively to support surgical workflows.
  • Float within the OR as needed, adapting to various surgical specialties and cases.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting.
  • Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification at the time of submission.
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic records system and DaVinci technology.
  • Experience in orthopedic procedures, including total joints and trauma, neuro, peripheral vascular, and cardiovascular surgeries preferred.
  • Must be able to submit a resume, active licenses/certifications, skills checklist, and prescreening questionnaire promptly.
  • New graduates will not be considered.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and float within the OR as required.
  • Adherence to a policy of no more than 7 days Return to Work (RTO) allowed.

Schedule:

  • 10-hour shifts
  • Day or evening shifts with variable start times: 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:00 PM
