Position Description

The Cross Program Integration Engineer will be supporting Exploration Systems Development (ESD) out of Marshall Space Flight Center but will be integrated with the Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) program at Kennedy Space center (KSC).  This position will provide systems engineering integration oversight, risk analysis and transparent communication to ESD on the day-to-day operations and activities at EGS KSC.

Duties & Responsibilities

·                     Supporting EGS Engineer Meetings and Stand-Up Meetings, OERBs, Daily Board

·                     Provide Pre-Briefs for OERB, Daily Board, and operations meetings such as tanking meeting for the ESD SE&I Team.

·                     Pulling Non-Conformances for the day and communicating out

·                     Provide support of the Baseline Integration ITT to develop and implement a process for identifying and communicating changes to the enterprise baseline that have a potential impact on other Programs or integrated system analysis.

·                     Providing support to maintain a cross program interaction matrix of changes to the baseline; maintain the Flight Test Variance database; provide Certificate of Flight Readiness (CoFR) for Baseline Integration; support the ESD Mission Operations SE&I Console.

·                     Participating in design reviews, contract negotiations, technical and business discussions with Exploration Systems Division (ESD) programs, NASA HQ and contractors.

·                     Providing support to identify and communicate baseline configuration changes throughout the lifecycle into design and operations to ensure impacts are understood and accounted for including non-conformance, requirements changes, operations and configuration.

 

Skills

In-depth knowledge of NASA Systems Engineering

In-depth knowledge of NASA Exploration Ground Systems and NASA Processes and Procedures

Strong Systems Integration skills

Knowledge of SLS, Orion and EGS programs

Excellent presentation and communications skills MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel, Word

BS required but Master of Science (MS) preferred in Engineering or technical equivalent from an accredited institution with 20 years of related Aerospace experience and 10+ years of direct Kennedy Space Center Element Systems Engineering or operations experience.
