Sea Logistics Pricing Manager Apply

Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Torrance office (Los Angeles) is looking for a new Pricing Manager to join our Sea Logistics team. Your Role Reporting to the West Area Sea Logistics VP, you will oversee and develop the area pricing department. Your role involves implementing pricing strategies, optimizing yields, and enhancing the customer and employee experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market data, and contribute to pricing excellence within the sea logistics business unit. Your Responsibilities End-to-End Pricing Management: Handle spot and RFQ pricing from start to finish. Develop pricing strategies at trade-lane, client, and area levels. Develop and Manage KPIs Turnaround Time Productivity Metrics Feedback / Win Ratios Yield Management and Operational Oversight: Monitor GP yield and optimize container placement. Allocate resources effectively and monitor market trends. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Implement SOPs to improve pricing efficiency. Harmonize pricing procedures across national and global structures. Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with national and international offices. Align with the sales team to source prices, assist with quotations, and respond to opportunities by providing coordination support. Participate in trade calls to understand market conditions Strategic Initiatives and Meetings: Participate in sales meetings as a pricing subject matter expert. Assist with client meetings and provide regular updates. Leadership and Management: Lead and guide the pricing team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback to team members. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members. Your Skills and Experiences Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Business/Marketing/Finance/Sales/Management or comparable work experience. 3+ years of experience in a management position with 2 or more direct reports 5+ years of experience in Sea Logistics You have Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. You have Strong knowledge of MS Office Products You have the ability to travel for business. You have the ability to work from the office 5 days per week. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
