We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Agricultural Field Representatives to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for evaluating soybean plots, collecting plant samples, and handling and maintaining detection equipment.  This position will work across Central Illinois.

The ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. This position will be available from April 2025 to September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in establishing research soybean plots to evaluate performance under different environmental conditions and management practices
  • Collect and maintain soybean tissues samples for laboratory analysis. 
  • Operate and maintain specialized monitoring equipment. We will train on how to use and handle the equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks as required.
  • Coordinate with plot managers and nearby growers regarding data on crop growth, yield, and other relevant attributes
  • Document test results and communicate findings to the team members and supervisors
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategies for improving measurement protocols
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by following strict protocols at all times
  • Be reliable, show up for work on time every day

Requirements

  • Previous experience in agriculture, field research, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of soybean cultivation and agronomic practices is preferred
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly
  • Ability to work weekends as needed and occasionally irregular hours
  • Valid Driver’s License

Benefits

The US hourly range for this position is $18/hour - $25/hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
