Pottawatomie County Noxious Weed is looking for three(3) full-time seasonal, non-benefit positions.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Pottawatomie County Noxious Weed Director or their designee, the Temporary Seasonal Laborer is a nonexempt temporary position under FLSA. The position is responsible for performing mowing, spraying, and baling cardboard. Also must be able to operate various types of machinery and work with hand tools while assisting with the maintenance of County buildings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Operates machinery including mowers, weed eaters, power tools, and four-wheel drive trucks.
- Assists in the construction and maintenance of County buildings.
- Performs light maintenance and servicing work on equipment.
- Bulk paint and segregate chemical as required.
- Regular and predictable attendance required.

Must have and maintain a clean driving record for this position. A clean record is defined as: No misdemeanor or felony convictions for traffic/vehicular offenses (such as but not limited to DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, etc.) that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) at fault or chargeable accidents that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) traffic infractions (such as but not limited to speeding, failure to yield right of way, etc.) that are less than one year old.
