SEC Manager: External Reporting
Location: Houston, TX
A well-established, publicly traded company is seeking an SEC Manager to lead and support its external reporting and compliance processes. This role offers hands-on ownership of SEC filings, close collaboration with a tenured finance team, and visibility across the finance organization and executive leadership.

What You’ll Do

Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K), including financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.

Prepare quarterly earnings releases, investor materials, and related reports.

Collaborate across finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in all external reporting.

Perform technical accounting research and analyses for complex transactions.

Maintain and update financial statement schedules, disclosure checklists, and MD&A sections in line with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors on audit requests and reporting requirements.

Support special projects and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and quality.
What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA required.

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally with SEC reporting exposure in a public company or public accounting environment.

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC disclosure requirements, and XBRL.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial reporting software (RDG or similar preferred).

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
