Location: Houston, TX

A well-established, publicly traded company is seeking an SEC Manager to lead and support its external reporting and compliance processes. This role offers hands-on ownership of SEC filings, close collaboration with a tenured finance team, and visibility across the finance organization and executive leadership.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior accountant or mid-level manager looking to grow their career in public company reporting, gain exposure to SEC compliance, and make a meaningful impact on financial transparency.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K), including financial statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare quarterly earnings releases, investor materials, and related reports.

  • Collaborate across finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in all external reporting.

  • Perform technical accounting research and analyses for complex transactions.

  • Maintain and update financial statement schedules, disclosure checklists, and MD&A sections in line with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on audit requests and reporting requirements.

  • Support special projects and process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and quality.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA required.

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, ideally with SEC reporting exposure in a public company or public accounting environment.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC disclosure requirements, and XBRL.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and financial reporting software (RDG or similar preferred).

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
