ROLE

We are seeking a secretary to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division in Norco, California. In this role, you will provide administrative support for daily operations and help maintain an efficient, organized, and secure office environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide administrative and office support in a secure government environment
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including filing, document preparation, and records maintenance
  • Operate standard office equipment and complete general office tasks
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, including classified mail, in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform reception duties, screen phone calls and visitors, and provide telephone coverage during business hours
  • Prepare, proofread, format, and edit official correspondence and other administrative documents
  • Coordinate meetings and events and prepare agendas, briefing materials, and visual aids
  • Prepare meeting minutes and track action items for meetings and teleconferences
  • Collect information from files and staff to support routine inquiries and recurring reports
  • Enter and review administrative data in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other systems
  • Support timekeeping, travel, shipping, and supply-related administrative processes
  • Maintain office records, internal logs, and recurring administrative reports
  • Assist with facility-related administrative support, including service requests and safety-related coordination
  • Handle and safeguard classified materials up to the Secret level in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Support access control and other security-related administrative responsibilities as authorized


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Military experience preferred


EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Undergraduate degree preferred

TELEWORK

  • Telework is not authorized


CLEARANCE

  • U.S. citizenship is required as it supports the U.S. federal government
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a final U.S. Government Secret clearance

  • 40 hours
  • 8 hours a day
  • 5 days a week
