Security Analyst I Hybrid role. Expect to work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. Job Description: Responsible for protecting the company's global assets and interests which include personnel, property/operations, products, brand and intellectual property (IP). Principal activities include working with HPE business and functional groups globally to design, develop, implement and administer cost-effective, proactive security programs and services. This encompasses executive protection, product authentication, anti-fraud, physical security, supply‑chain security, online security, contingency planning and crisis‑management response. Includes analysis, design, audit, training and reporting related to these programs and services. Leads security‑related communications, promotes security awareness and designs communication channels to facilitate distribution of time‑sensitive security alerts, threat assessments, general travel guidance and other content. Investigates allegations and incidents of illegal activity, violations of corporate policies and serious impropriety by employees. Provides management with assessments and advice on organizations or individuals who are contemplating or using illegal or disruptive tactics against HPE. Maintains liaison with domestic and international law enforcement, governmental security and intelligence agencies, industry organizations and relevant stakeholders to collect information relating to the security of HPE assets and interests. Continually assesses and aligns security resources with risks. Management Level Definition: Applies basic foundation of a function’s principles, theories and concepts to assignments of limited scope. Uses professional concepts and theoretical knowledge acquired through specialized training, education or previous experience. Develops expertise and practical knowledge of applications within the business environment. Acts as a team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Responsibilities: Assist in designing, developing, and implementing cost‑effective security programs and services in collaboration with business and functional groups globally. Support activities related to physical security, supply chain security, product authentication, anti‑fraud measures, and contingency planning. Help maintain communication channels for distributing security alerts, threat assessments, travel guidance, and other time‑sensitive information. Compile research and information to assist management in assessing potential threats from organizations or individuals. Maintain relationships with domestic and international law enforcement, governmental security agencies, and industry organizations to gather relevant security information. Communicate findings and updates to team members and management. Prepare reports and analysis related to various security programs and incidents. Support the design and delivery of security‑related training programs for employees. Education and Experience Required: First‑level university degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. 0–2 years of relevant experience in security, investigations or related fields (internship or academic project experience acceptable). Familiarity with basic security systems and tools is preferred but not required. Knowledge and Skills: Basic understanding of physical security principles, fraud prevention, supply chain security, and online security practices. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret security‑related data. Skills in conducting background research on potential threats and incidents. Strong written and verbal communication skills to assist with security alerts, reports, and awareness campaigns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations. Ability to work effectively as a team member, providing input and support to team efforts. Capability to identify and recommend solutions to security‑related challenges. Meticulous approach to data collection, reporting, and documentation. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to corporate policies and ethical standards. Willingness to learn and develop expertise in new security concepts and applications. Impact/Scope: Directly supports the implementation and ongoing management of security programs and initiatives to protect company assets, personnel, and intellectual property. Provides foundational assistance to senior security team members and contributes to the overall execution of the corporate security strategy and objectives. Engages with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across regions to support the company’s global security operations. Contributes to the identification and mitigation of risks by supporting investigations and assessments of security incidents and threats. Provides thorough analysis and recommendations that impact operational security and enhance overall organizational preparedness. Develops expertise and builds skills that contribute to the larger security mission of the organization, preparing for increased responsibilities in the future.
