Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa. This position requires vigilance, professionalism, and a guest-first attitude while monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and supporting a secure and welcoming resort environment. Key Responsibilities: Patrol resort property regularly, including guest areas, back-of-house, parking lots, and beaches Monitor security systems and access control points Respond quickly to emergency situations, including medical, fire, theft, or disturbances Document all incidents and prepare accurate security reports Escort guests or staff when needed to ensure safety Enforce property policies, including noise, alcohol, and visitor protocols Assist in crowd control during events and busy periods Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary Support lost-and-found operations and guest inquiries related to safety Qualifications: Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred NYS Security Guard License required (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification a plus Strong observational and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments in various weather conditions Pay Range and Compensation Package: Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
