Job DescriptionUnarmed School Security OfficerCardinal Point Security Group is building a team of Security Officers who will facilitate a safe learning environment and keep students, staff, and faculty safe from violence.Location: Birdsboro, PAPay Rate: $18.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 3:00 PMSchedule includes regular school hours plus after-school and occasional weekend events when required.This position follows the school calendar, with 2 months off during the summer.Duties & Responsibilities:Be a Cardinal Point Ambassador: Be on time. Look sharp in proper uniform. Be engaged. Be consistentCoach and mentor studentsIncident Management and verbal de-escalationMaintains orderly flow of foot traffic in the hallwaysMonitors restrooms throughout the dayReports on maintenance concerns to appropriate personnelWalks up to 10,000 steps per day to patrol school facilities and grounds to prevent access to restricted areas, theft, or vandalismStands for up to four hours per dayAct as First responder for emergenciesStands post at secondary locations as requiredIdentify and report suspicious activityCompletes daily activity reports and incident reports as requiredCultivate positive relationships with staff and studentsAccess ControlMonitor CCTVBasic Qualifications:Minimum of 6 years’ post-secondary education work experienceMinimum 3 years of Security experience working in a school environment, or have experience as a Sworn Police Officer, Military, or Corrections OfficerAble to work well under pressureHigh School Diploma or GEDObtains required clearances for working in schoolAbility to complete all required training to work in schoolsNo felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.Reliable means of communication (active cell phone with mobile email access)Ability to comprehend and utilize the English Language (verbal and written)Reliable means of transportationMust possess a focused, professional, and courteous demeanor.Preferred Qualifications:Experience as a Sworn Municipal, State, or Federal Police Officer OR Military MP, Military MA, Air Force Security Forces.Valid Driver’s LicenseBenefits:Paid Mandatory TrainingAccrued Sick TimeEmployee referral programEmployee Recognition Program401K eligibility after six months of employmentTo ensure Cardinal Point’s commitment to a drug-free work environment, employees may be subject to random drug testing.Cardinal Point Security Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer
